James was a young man when he died. I have asked several older family members if they knew how he died. So far we don't have the answer, but when and if we find out I will post it here.
My dad was born in 1919 and he would never have known Howard, but he heard stories from his older siblings growing up.
Sometimes I wish that I had asked more questions about my aunts and uncles and family. I am glad for what I was told and remembered, but it is hard to fill in the gaps when some things are missing.
