Obituary for Lucile Jordan
Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces the death of Mrs. Lucile Jordan, age 91, of Commerce who passed away Friday morning at the Northridge Health and Rehab Center. Mrs. Jordan was the daughter of the late William Arthur Waters and the late Minnie Cowart Waters and was also preceded in death by two husbands, Eual Green (Dixie) Haggard and Lonnie Eugene Jordan. Mrs. Jordan is survived by her son, William Raymond Haggard of Warner Robins and 2 daughters, Linda June Cannon of Commerce and Carolyn Perry of Thomson. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren. Mrs. Jordan was very active in the Madison Street Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and sang in the choir. She was also active in the Senior Citizens group and retired from working at Jays Department Store. Services for Mrs. Jordan will be conducted on Sunday, July 21st at 2 PM from the Madison Street Baptist Church where she will lie in state from 1:30 PM until the time of service. Rev. David Harbin will officiate and interment will follow in the Grey Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Ivie Funeral Home on Saturday from 6-8 PM.Hazel W Waters

COMMERCE - Lucile Jordan, 91, passed away Friday, July 19, 2013, at the Northridge Health and Rehab Center.She was the daughter of the late William Arthur Waters, and Minnie Cowart Waters. Mrs. Jordan was preceded in death by two husbands, Eual Green (Dixie) Haggard and Lonnie Eugene Jordan.

Funeral services were held Sunday, July 21, at the Madison Street Baptist Church with the Rev. David Harbin officiating. Interment was in the Grey Hill Cemetery.

Mrs. Eva Mae Waters Owensby, 77, of Commerce, died Thursday, November 22, 2001, at her residence.
Born September 8, 1924, in Clarke County, Mrs. Owensby was a daughter of the late Arthur and Minnie Cowart Waters.
She was retired from Waters Cafe and was a member of Madison Street Baptist Church. Mrs. Owensby was preceded in death by her husband, Otha Owensby, and a son, Mike Owensby.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 24, at Madison Street Baptist Church with the Revs. David Harbin and Tom Lang officiating. Burial was in Grey Hill Cemetery, Commerce.
Survivors include one son, Dwayne Owensby, Commerce; one sister, Lucille Jordan, Commerce; three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.
