Mrs. Carolyn Merita Waters, age 72 of Commerce died Saturday, October 19, 2013 at her residence. Mrs. Waters was born in Royston to the late, Claude and Effie Baker Brookshire. Mrs. Waters was a homemaker.

Mrs. Waters is survived by her husband, Billy Joe Waters of Commerce; daughters, Michelle Pethel of Dacula, Jean Owensby of Commerce, Sherry Healan (Greg) of Bogart, Teresa Gaines (Darrell) of Commerce, and Crystal Fletcher (Jon) of Jefferson; son, Josh Kesler (Robin) of Commerce; sisters, Faye Roberts of Jefferson and Edna Lance of Pendergrass; ten grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 22 at 2:00 PM from the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Norris officiating with the interment following at Jackson Memorial Gardens. JEFFERSON – Roy Douglas Waters Jr., “Tink”, 44, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Athens Regional Medical Center.

He was the son of the late Roy Douglas Waters Sr. and Sybil Beck Waters.

Survivors include brothers, Jerry Wade Waters, Danielsville, Jimmy Edward Waters, Arnoldsville; sister, Sonya Waters Farmer, Jefferson; nephews, Wayne Farmer, D.J. Waters and Randy Waters; nieces, Chelsey Farmer, Ashleigh Waters, Summer Waters and Madison Waters.

Memorial services will be held Wednesday, March 10, at 4 p.m., at Nicholson Baptist Church with Pastor Terry Smith officiating.

Ivie Funeral Home, Commerce, announces services for Jimmy Edward Waters, age 44, of Winterville who passed away on Monday March 23rd, 2015. He was the son of the late Roy Douglas Waters, Sr. and the late Sybil Beck Waters. Along with his parents, he is survived by his fiancé’, Nina Stewart of Winterville; son, D.J. Waters of Dahlonega; daughter, Ashley Waters Roberts of Nicholson; brother, Jerry Waters of Jefferson; sister, Sonya Waters Farmers of Jefferson; and five grandchildren. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Tink Waters.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday March 25th, 2015 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Thursday March 26th, 2015 at 4 pm with Rev. Jim Olds and Rev. Terry Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Grey Hill Cemetery.

Charles Wayne Waters, 55, of Commerce, died Saturday, February 26, 2005, at Hill Haven Nursing Home.

Born February 16, 1950, in Jackson County, he was the son of the late Charles E. and Arlene Cowart Waters. He was a mechanic and a member of the Living Word Worship Center, Jefferson. Mr. Waters was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Pollard Waters.

Survivors include a son, Allen Waters, Danielsville; daughter, Misty Westmoreland, Nicholson; brother, Billy Joe Waters, Commerce; and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, February 28, in the chapel of Little-Ward Funeral Home with the Revs. Wayne Norris and Henry Webb officiating. Burial was in Jackson Memorial Gardens, Commerce.

Little-Ward Funeral Home, Commerce, was in charge of arrangements.

Hazel White Waters, 74, of 437 Spring St. died Thursday, Jan.2, 1997. A native of White County, Mrs. Waters was a daughter of the
late John Wesley and Margie Mae Parker White and a widow of William Claudie Waters.

She was the owner of Water's Cafe.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Madison Street Baptist Church with the Revs. David Harbin and Willis Moore
